Shalom to All His Saints!
I pray that God be with you in His Shalom and in His abundant grace.
Today we would like to meditate on John 13:21-32.
In today’s text, we can see that Judas left his Lord Jesus and his friends finally, even though Jesus called him as His disciples, revealed the secret of the Kingdom of God, gave discipleship training, and also let him witness all the ministries and even miracles. And even when Jesus granted His final favor with a piece of bread dipped in the dish, Judas threw away his final opportunity of repentance and left out into the darkness.
Tip) We may meditate on Jesus’ troubles that He has to see Judas whom He called, but who was fallen by Satan’s temptation and also His love and consideration for Judas, reminding the LORD’s saying in Ezkiel 33:11 “I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live.”
While meditating, from Judas, I can see my total depravity, i.e., even though He chose, regenerated, and gave us a faith and all kinds of gifts and testimonies in our spiritual journey with Him, when life does not go as we hoped, or the blessings do not come as expected, then how easily we abandon Him and even betray Him! But, because of His endless love, we get up again to follow Him, relying on his love in a piece of bread dipped in His love.
Questions) As Judas was tempted with thirty pieces of silver, what is those thirty pieces of silver to me by which we are so easily fallen? What is the bread which our Lord provides us? How do we have to receive it?

주님의 이름으로 문안드리며, 하나님의 크신 은혜가 오늘도 충만하시기를 기도합니다.
오늘 묵상하실 말씀은 요한복음 13:21-32 입니다.
오늘 본문에는 유다가 마침내 예수님을 배반하기로 결정하고 예수님을 떠나는 장면이 나옵니다. 주님께서는 유다의 배반을 이미 알고 계심에도 불구하고 그를 제자로 선택하셔서 그와 함께 하시고, 그에게 하늘나라의 비밀을 가르쳐 주셨으며, 제자 훈련과 함께 그분의 모든 사역에 동참하게 하셨습니다. 그렇게 끝까지 그를 사랑하신 주님께서는 그에게 떡 한조각을 드리지만, 유다는 마침내 그 마지막 기회를 내팽겨쳐 버리고 어둠이 짙어진 바깥으로 나가버리고 맙니다.
Tip) 제자로 부르시기 부터 마침내 사단의 유혹에 넘어가는 유다를 보시는 주님의 심령의 괴로움과 유다에 대한 사랑과 배려를 묵상하면서, 에스겔 33:11 “나는 악인이 죽는 것을 기뻐하지 아니하고 악인이 그의 길에서 돌이켜 떠나 사는 것을 기뻐하노라”고 하신 여호와 하나님의 말씀을 묵상해 보시면 좋겠습니다.
말씀을 묵상하면서, 유다의 모습에서 우리의 모습이 얼핏 스칩니다. 우리를 택정하시고 우리를 중생케 하신 후, 믿음을 주시고 각양 은사와 은혜와 간증거리를 주셨는데, 우리가 생각하던 방식대로 일이 진행되지 아니하면, 우리가 기대하던 복을, 얻을 수 없으면, 우리는 얼마나 주님을 쉽게 버리고 배반하는지… 그러나, 그런 우리를 끝까지 사랑해 주시는 주님이 계시기에 우리는 오늘도 일어섭니다. 주님께서 꿀을 찍어 주시는 떡을 받아 먹고, 그 안에 담긴 사랑에 힘 입어서…
질문) 우리가 아직 쉽게 넘어가는 은삼십은 무엇인가요? 우리의 연약함과 부족함에도 불구하고 주님께서 주시는 오늘의 떡은 무엇이며 우리가 어떻게 받아야 할까요?
