영과 진리로 예배하는 예배자를 찾으시는 하나님 아버지께서, 우리의 예배를 통해 올려 드리는 모든 감사와 찬양과 영광을 기쁘게 받으실 줄 믿습니다.
We believe that Heavenly Father, who is looking for worshipers who worship with spirit and truth, will gladly receive all the thanks, praise, and glory that we offer through our worship.
지난 주에는, 에베소서 1:15-23을 통하여 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리시고 보좌에 앉히신 하나님의 능력이 이끄는 삶에 대하여 함께 알아 보았습니다. 이번 주에는 요한복음 14:15-31 을 통해서, 예수님께서 십자가에서 고난 받으시기 전에 떠나가실 것을 말씀하시자 불안해 하는 제자들에게 또 다른 보혜사, 즉 성령님을 보내실 것을 약속하시며 오히려 기뻐하고 평안할 것을 부탁하셨는데 그 내용에 대해 함께 공부해 보고 은혜 받을 수 있기를 소망합니다.
Last week, through Luke 24:44-53, we learned the benefits and blessings of His ascension. This week, through Eph 1:15-23, we would like to receive His grace while meditating on His inauguration as King, being seated in the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
- 요한 복음은 하나님께서 그의 백성들과 함께 하신다는 것, 즉 하나님께서는 그의 백성들이 하나님께 돌아올 수 있도록 길을 내시고, 이생과 내생에서 그들과 함께 하시며, 하나님의 임재 앞에서 크리스천들이 어떻게 살아야 할지를 가르쳐 주는 내용으로 가득차 있으며, 주요 Key passage 들에 잘 나타나 있다: 요한 복음서를 쓴 이유 (20:31), 말씀 (Logos) 이신 하나님께서 그의 백성에게 오셔서 거하심 (1:1-18), 예수님의 사명 (3:16-21), 예수님의 “나는” 선언 (6:35; 8:12; 10:9, 11; 11:25; 14:6; 15:1), 성령님을 보내심 (14:15-31). 요한복음의 구조는 1:1-18 서론, 1:19-12:50 예수님의 공적 사역, 13:1-17:26 예수님의 고별 설교, 18:1-21:25 예수님의 고난과 부활 이야기로 구성되어 있습니다.
- The Gospel of John is all about the God’s being with His people, by coming to dwell with them and after making a way for His people to return to Him and also about how to live as His people before Him and it’s theme can be easily understood by the key passages such as v.20:31 the reason why the Gospel of John was written, vv.1:1-18 about Jesus’ coming to and dwelling among His people as God and the Word, vv.3:16-21 about His mission, vv.6:35; 8:12; 10:9, 11; 11:25; 14:6; 15:1 of Jesus’ “I am” statements, and vv.14:15-31 about the coming of the Holy Spirit. The literary structure of John’s gospel is the prologue of vv.1:1-18, Jesus’ public ministry in vv.1:19-12:50, Jesus’ farewell discourses in vv.13:1-17:26, and Jesus passion and resurrection in vv.18:1-21:25.
- 오늘 읽은 본문은 예수님께서 잡히시기전 마지막 날 밤에 제자들과 함께 마지막 만찬을 가지신 후 제자들에게 하신 고별 설교 내용의 일부인데, 예수님의 고별설교는 먼저 13:1-20절에서 마지막 만찬과 세족식을 베푸시고 13:21-30 배신자 가롯 유다를 축출하신 후,
13:31-34에서 제자들에게 “서로 사랑하라”는 새계명을 주시면서
- 14:1-14: “나는 길이요 진리요 생명이다”
- 14:15-31: “내가 아버지께서부터 또 다른 보혜사를 너희에게 보내주겠다”
- 15:1-17 “나는 참 포도나무다”
- 15:18-27 “나도 역시 세상의 미움을 받았다”
- 16:1-15 “내가 성령을 통해서 너희들에게 권능을 부여하겠다”
- 16:16-24 “내가 너희의 슬픔을 기쁨으로 바꾸어 주겠다”고 말씀하신 후
17:1-26 에서 제자들을 위한 대제사장적 중보기도로 마무리하고 있습니다. 전반부 세 주제는 예수님과 제자들과의 관계에 초점을 맞추고 있는 반면, 후반부 세 주제는 제자들의 사역에 초점을 맞추고 계신 것을 알 수 있습니다.
Today’s Bible verse is a part of Jesus farewell discourses; after washing the feet of His disciples after the last supper and prophesying of the betrayal of one of His disciples (13:1-30), Jesus gave New commandment of “love one another” (13:31-34), saying,
- “I am the way, the truth and the life.” (14:1-14)
- “I will send you another advocate from the Father.” (14:15-31)
- “I am true vine.” (15:1-17)
- “I have also received the hatred from the world.” (15:18-27)
- “I will empower you through the Holy Spirit.” (16:1-15)
- “I will turn your grief into joy and give you peace.” (16:16-24)
And it ends with the high priestly intercessory prayer. (17:1-26) We know that the first three parts focus on the relationship of His disciples to Jesus and the later three parts focus on the disciples’ engagement with the world.
- 예수님의 고별 설교의 주제는 그의 떠남에 앞선 새 계명을 주심, 안위하심, 또 다른 보혜사이신 성령을 주심 세가지로 요약할 수 있습니다. “서로 사랑하라”는 주님의 새 계명은 주님께서 죽으신 십자가의 희생적 사랑의 은혜를 입은 택자들이 주님을 사랑하는 마음으로 서로 형제의 발을 씻기며 서로 섬기라는 말씀으로 그런 섬김 가운데 삼위 하나님께서 함께 거하시며 (14:23), 세상 사람들이 주님의 제자인 줄 알게 될 것 (13:35)이라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 그리고 두번째 예수님의 떠나심에 따른 제자들의 근심과 두려움 (14:27)의 문제를 해결해 주시기 위하여, 예수님께서 아버지께 가시는 것은 실은 슬퍼해야할 일이 아니라 기뻐해야 할 일인데, 그 이유는 택자들을 위한 구원의 완성을 인치시는 것이며, 하늘 나라에 그들의 거처를 예비하시기 위한 것이며 (14:2), 또한 그로 말미암아 성령을 보내주심으로 삼위 하나님과 택자들의 관계가 새로운 국면으로 접어들기 (14:12 더 큰일도 하게 하심 & 14:23 삼위 하나님의 거하심) 때문이라고 말씀해 주시며, 제자들의 평안을 주십니다. (14:27; 16:33) 그리고 마지막으로 또 다른 보혜사이신 성령님을 보내주실 것을 말씀하시는데, 성령님께서 오시면, 영원히 내주 하실(14:16-17) 뿐 아니라 예수님의 말씀을 생각나게 해 주시고 가르쳐 알게 해 주시며 (14:21, 26), 예수님을 증언하시며 (15:26) 또한, 죄와 의와 심판에 대하여 세상을 책망하실 것(16:)이라고 말씀해 주십니다.
- The theme of His farewell discourse can be summarized as three words; New commandment, comforting and the Holy Spirit as another advocate. The new commandment “Love one another” as shown as His sacrificial love in the cross is realized as the life of service, as being exemplified in His feet-washing of His disciples, by which triune God will dwell in them and everyone will know that we are His disciples. And in order to deal with His disciples’ worry and fear as He leave them, Jesus explained that His leaving make you rejoice instead grieving, since it will accomplish His ministry for their salvation, is for the preparation of the place for His people, and will lead into new aspect of relationship with His disciples – greater work and triune indwelling and also give peace in Him. And also through His leaving, Jesus will send them the Holy Spirit who will dwell in them forever, remind and teach you His words, testify about Him, and convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgement.
- 오늘 본문 말씀을 통해서 몇가지 은혜를 나누기 원하는 데, 첫번째 주님께서 주신 새 계명 “서로 사랑하라”는 말씀에 대한 것입니다. 서로 사랑하는 것은 어떻게 사랑하라는 말씀일까요? 친구를 위하여 목숨을 버리는 큰 사랑을 말씀하시지만 (15:13) 또한 평범한 일상에서 소소하게 나마 형제의 발, 즉 부족함을 씻기는 섬김의 사랑도 주님께서 친히 보여 주신 사랑인 바, 우리가 그런 사랑으로 함께 하기를 소망합니다. 그러면 그런 사랑을 할 수 있는 원동력은 무엇일까요? 그것은 예수님에 대한 사랑인데, 성령님께서 오시면 그 사랑을 우리에게 부어 주실 뿐 아니라 (롬 5:5) 사랑이신 성령님께서 사랑의 열매를 맺게 해 주시기 때문입니다. 그렇게 주님의 십자가 사랑에 뿌리를 두고 성령님을 통하여 우리의 삶 속에 나타나는 사랑이 우리들 모두에게 가득하기를 기도합니다. 그리고 마지막으로 은혜 받기를 원하는 것은 예수님께서 제자들에게 기쁨과 평안을 주시기를 원하셨듯, 우리들에게도 주님께서 주시는 기쁨과 평안으로 가득하기를 원합니다. 이렇게 예수님께서 주시고자 하시는 기쁨은 성령의 열매이기도 하며, 포도나무 예화와 예수님의 대제사장적 기도에서도 분명히 나타나는데, 예수님께서 주시는 세상에서 주는 것과 비교할 수 없는 평안, 즉 예수님께서 세상을 이기심에서 오는 평안이기 때문입니다.
- Through today’s Bible verses, we would like to receive grace. Firstly we would like to know more details on His new commandment “Love one another,” I mean, how does it look like in our daily life? Even though Jesus says that “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends (15:13),” we may live into the love of service in our daily life, as Jesus exemplified the love as the feet-washing, i.e., embracing his or her weakness, as the Holy Spirit pours out His love unto us and makes us bear fruit of love. And finally, as Jesus gave His disciples joy and peace, I hope we may receive joy and peace from Him, as joy is the one which is clearly expressed in the parable of true vine and His high priestly prayer as one of fruit of the Holy Spirit and also peace comes from His victory over the world as also one of fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- 기도하옵기는, 사랑하는 우리 KPCM 자녀들과 가족들과 교회에, 부활절기 네번째 주를 맞아 성령의 첫번째 세가지 열매인 사랑과 기쁨과 평안이 가득하시기를 기도합니다.
- I pray that His beloved KPCM children, families and church may be full of love, joy and peace of the first three fruits of the Holy Spirit in the fourth week of the Easter season.

Q1 I am not sure whether you had a chance to think about this, but I am wondering what you will inherit to your loving family or children before you moved to the heaven now or at your old age? With what kinds of important ones do you want to bless your children? Would you share your thoughts or idea with your friends? 여러분들이 아직 어려서 한번도 생각해 보지 않았을 수는 있겠지만, 만약에 여러분들이 지금 혹은 오랜 시간이 흐른 후에 하늘 나라에 올라간다면, 여러분들이 사랑하는 가족이나 자녀들에게 무엇을 남겨 주시기를 원합니까? 가장 중요한 어떤 것으로 여러분들 자녀들을 축복하고 싶으신가요? 여러분들의 마음과 생각을 친구들에게 나누어 주시면 좋겠어요.

After reminding them, please think about why Jesus thought that they are so important to His disciples.
