“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” [2 Corinthians 4:17]
Afflictions can work for us only if we co-operate with God in prayer. God can accomplish His highest ends for us through prayer. His providence works best when His people pray. They know that trouble serves a purpose. They know that God can use trouble to strengthen their relationship with Him.
The greatest value in trouble comes to those who turn to God in prayer. In fact, the only way to endure trouble patiently, is to pray consistently. The school of prayer is where patience is learned and practiced.
“Almighty God, I want to learn from my troubles. I bow before You in prayer. Amen.” [The Power of Prayer]
