“He will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.” [2 Timothy 2:21]
People who dedicate themselves to the work of God must focus on the giving and receiving of grace and not on the receiving of gifts. A full supply of grace brings an increase of gifts.
It may be stressed that no results, a low experience, and pointless, powerless preaching always flow from a lack of grace. And a lack of grace flows from a lack of praying.
Great grace comes from great praying. In carrying out His great work in the world, God works through human agents. He works through His church collectively and through His people individually.
Dear God, make me a holy instrument for Your noble purposes. Make me useful and prepare me to do any good work for Your glory. Amen. [The Power of Prayer]
