영과 진리로 예배하는 예배자를 찾으시는 하나님 아버지께서, 우리의 예배를 통해 올려 드리는 모든 감사와 찬양과 영광을 기쁘게 받으실 줄 믿습니다.
We believe that Heavenly Father, who is looking for worshipers who worship with spirit and truth, will gladly receive all the thanks, praise, and glory that we offer through our worship.
지난 주에는, 계 21:1-8 말씀을 통하여 새 하늘 새 땅에 대해서 알아보았고 하나님께서는 우리를 새하늘 새땅의 건설에 초대하였음을 배웠습니다. 이번주에는 딤후 2:1-13 말씀을 통하여, 바울에 영적으로 낳은 아들 디모데에게 마지막 순교를 앞두고 예수 그리스도의 좋은 병사가 되어 충성된 자들을 제자 삼으라는 당부를 하는데, 같이 살펴 보고 은혜 나눌 수 있기를 소망합니다.
Last week, through Rev. 21:1-8, we learn about new heaven and new earth so that we wanted to participate in God’s mission to restore His creation. This week, we would like to learn about making His disciples of faithful people as Jesus Christ’s soldier through 2 Tim 2:1-13 which was written before his possible martyrdom.
- 오늘 우리가 읽는 디모데후서는 그가 네로의 기독교 박해가 있을 당시 마지막 순교를 하기 전 (AD67) 로마에 두번째로 투옥되어 있을 때, 에베소에서 사역하고 있는 디모데에게 쓴 편지로, 순교를 기다리면서 (4:6-8) 디모데에게 예수 그리스도의 좋은 군사로 말씀을 붙들고 (3:14) 말씀을 전파하면서 (4:2) 제자를 삼는 일(2:2)을 당부하면서, 거짓교사와 배교자들을 조심하고 (3:1-5), 하나님께서 주시는 바, 능력과 사랑과 절제하는 마음 (1:7)으로 주의 종으로써 진리와 (2:15) 의와 믿음과 사랑과 화평을 쫓을 것(2:22)을 부탁하고 있습니다.
- The second epistle to Timothy is a letter from Paul to Timothy, his spiritual son, to entrust what he was entrusted from Jesus, disciple-making (2:2), as His soldier, holding His Word (3:14), proclaiming His Word (4:2), when he was imprisoned second time at Rome while Nero persecuted a lot Christians, and also exhort to be careful on false teachers (3:1-5) following truth (2:15), righteousness, faith, love and peace as His servant with the mind of power, love and self-control (1:7).
- 디모데 후서는 인사말 (1:1-2), 감사와 격려 (1:3-18), 제자 삼는 사역에 대한 권면 (2:1-13), 거짓교사를 조심하라고 주의함(2:14-3:9), 디모데에 대한 부탁 (3:10-4:8), 결어 (4:9-22)로 나눌 수 있는데, 특히 성령의 영감으로 쓰여진 성경은 바른 교리와 선한 행실을 가르쳐 주는 말씀으로 (3:16-17), 이 말씀을 다른 충성된 사람들에게 전할 것을 명하고 있습니다.
- The second epistle to Timothy is composed of Greeting (1:1-2), Thanksgiving and Encouragement (1:3-18), Aspects of Effective Ministries (2:1-13), Opposing False Teaching (2:14-3:9), Paul’s Charge to Timothy (3:10-4:8), Closing Remarks (4:9-22) with the exhortation to Timothy to preach and teach the Word which provides sound doctrine and right transformation (3:16-17) to the faithful.
- 특히 오늘 본문은 1-2절 제자삼아 진리의 말씀을 전하라는 부탁 3-7절 세가지 메타포, 즉 그리스도의 병사, 경기하는 자, 그리고 수고하는 농부라는 세가지 메타포를 통해 이 제자삼은 사명은 비록 고난의 길이지만 주님을 기쁘시게 하는 일이며, 면류관을 받는 길이며 또한 상급을 받는 길이라고 설명하고 있습니다. 그리고 마지막으로 8-13절에서는 비록 이 일은 고난을 넘어 결국 영광에 이르는 길이며 실은 왕노릇하는 일임을 이야기 해주고 있다.
- Especially today’s text tells us that vv.1-2 exhorts us to teach the Word of truth after making His disciples, vv.3-7 exhorts us that using three metaphors; Christ’s soldier, competing athlete, and hard-working farmer, this ministry will result in pleasing the Lord, receiving the crown and the reward even with suffering and finally vv.8-13 says that this result in glory, by joining in kingly dominion of God, beyond the sufferings.
- 오늘 본문 말씀을 통해서 몇가지 은혜를 나누기 원하는데, 첫번째 지난 2000년 기독교 역사를 되돌아 보면, 모든 족속을 제자 삼으라는 예수님의 대사명 (마 28:18-20)에 순종하여, 온땅에 흩어져 주님의 제자 삼은 제자들에 의해서 기독교의 전파가 이루어져 오늘에 이르렀음을 알 수 있습니다. 오늘 본문의 전절 딤후 1장12절에서 보는 것처럼, 주님께로부터 의탁받은 이 사명을 바울이 디모데에게 그 복음 (딤후 1:11; 행 9:15)을 전하여 주었고, (2:2), 바울은 디모데에게 이 복음을 충성된 사람, 즉 또 다른 사람을 가르칠 수 있는 사람에게 전해주라고 권면하고 있는 것처럼, 그렇게 제자 삼는 사역에 의해 이루어져 왔습니다. 그렇습니다. 우리 각자가 누군가로 부터 전해 받은 이 복음은 예수님께서 그의 제자들에게 의탁을 했고 또 그 제자들은 그 누군가에게 전함으로 오늘 우리에게까지 전해졌으며, 우리 또한 이 제자삼은 일에 부름을 받은 것입니다. 따라서, 제자되어 제자삼은 일은 우리 모든 그리스도인이 마땅히 해야 할 사명인 바, 우리 모두 이 사명에 참여하는 영광을 누릴 수 있기를 소망합니다. 두번째는 바울은 이 제자삼는 일을 세가지 은유, 즉 좋은 병사, 경기하는 자, 그리고 수고하는 농부로 묘사하면서, 비록 이일이 고난의 길이기는 하지만 우리를 부르신 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 일(v.4)이며, 승리의 면류관을 받을 수 있는 일(v.5)이며, 또한 상급이 예비된 일(v.6)이며, 영원한 영광을 받는 일(v.10)이며 또한 참으면 왕노릇하는 일(v.12)이라고 말하고 있습니다. 따라서, 우리도 이일에 참여함으로 주님을 기쁘시게 하며, 또한 승리의 면류관과 상급과 영원한 영광을 받는 우리 모두가 되기를 소망합니다. 그리고 마지막으로는 이 일은 우리 혼자의 힘으로 하는 일이 아닙니다. 주께서 범사에 총명을 주시고 (v.7), 매이지 않는 하나님의 말씀의 능력이 함께 하는 일이며 (v.9), 또한 주의 미쁘심이 함께 하는 일임(v.13)을 기억해야 할 것입니다. 그렇기에 “내게 능력주시는 자 안에서 내가 모든 일을 할 수 있느니라(빌 4:13)”는 바울의 고백이 우리 모두의 고백이 될 줄로 믿습니다.
- Through Today’s Bible verses, we would like to receive grace from God; Firstly, reflecting last 2000 years of Christian history, we know that Christianity was propagated by obeying to make His disciples by His disciples who became first His disciples as Jesus gave a great commission “Go and make disciples of all nations (Mt 28:18-20).” As Jesus entrusted this mission to Paul (1:12), we can know that Paul entrusted this to Timothy and exhort Timothy to entrust this to the faithful who can also entrust this to other people (2:2). Yes. the gospel and His great commission which we received from someone has origin to Jesus Christ who entrusted this mission to His disciples who obeyed His great commission to go and make disciples and we are also called to this great commission. Therefore, we have to participate in this glorious mission, since this great commission is the duty of all Christians. Secondly, Paul, using three metaphors; good soldier, competing athlete, and hard-working farmer, explains that even though it will come with sufferings and persecution, through this, we may please our Lord (v.4), receive the crown of victory (v.5) and received the rewards (v.6), with eternal glory (v.10) by joining in Jesus’ eternal kingly dominion as His kings (v.12) so that I hope we may receive His glory with crown and reward from our Lord to please Him. And finally we have to know that we will not do this ministry by ourselves alone, i.e., we have to remember that God will grant us insight into all this (v.7), His unchained Word will be with us (v.9), and Jesus who is faithful will be with us (v.13) so that we may also confess that “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength (Php 4:13), as Paul confessed.
- 기도하옵기는, 사랑하는 우리 KPCM 자녀들과 가족들과 교회가, 부활절기 일곱번째 주일을 맞아, 주님께서 부탁하신 제자삼은 일에 참여함으로 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 뿐 만 아니라, 승리의 면류관과 영광을 받는 우리 모두가 되기를 소망합니다.
- I pray that His beloved KPCM children, families and church may participate in His glorious ministry to receive victorious crown by making His disciples, in the seventh week of the Easter season.

Q2 According to today’s Bible verses, we can know that we are involved in proclamation of the gospel to someone already. This is the great commission which Jesus our Lord said to His disciples before ascending to the heaven so that in order to execute this mission, first of all we have to be His disciple and then we can go make His disciple in the world. I wonder if around you, you can find a person or friend whom you desire to make His disciple? If yes, how do you want to approach to him/her? I wonder how we can make him/her His disciple? What would you teach him/her? Could you share your thoughts with your friends? 오늘 본문 말씀에서도 보니까 우리는 모두 복음을 전하는 일에 참여하고 있음을 알 수 있어요. 이 일은 예수님께서 우리에게 주신 대사명인데, 그 일을 하기 위해서는 우리가 먼저 예수님의 제자가 되어야 하며, 그렇게 예수님의 제자가 된 우리는 또한 다른 친구를 예수님의 제자로 만드는 일을 해야한다고 말씀하고 있습니다. 혹시 여러분 주위에 이렇게 예수님의 제자를 삼고 싶은 친구가 있나요? 그럼 어떻게 제자를 삼을 수 있을까요? 무엇을 가르치고 싶나요? 서로의 생각을 나누어 주셨으면 좋겠어요.

Q3 Today at church, we thank God who finally finish the vision center where several vision chapels and joy chapel are there and give it to us where we may become His disciple and go make His disciple in the world. I pray that through our discipleship, God our Father should be glorified in the world.
오늘 교회에서는 그동안 우리가 주님의 은혜 안에서 헌신과 기도로 지어주신 Vision Center 건물 (각종 Vision Chapel 들과 Joy Chapel 이 있음) 로 인하여 하나님께 감사 예배를 드리는데, 기도하옵기는 이 건물이 앞으로 우리가 제자되어 제자삼은 일에 쓰여져서, 많은 사람들이 주님의 제자로 세워져 하나님께서 영광받으시기를 기도합니다.
