Text: Col 3:12-17
“… you have put off (aorist, decisive act of once for all)the old self with its practices and have put on (aorist) the new self (v.10),
Therefore, put on (aorist) the virtues; compassionate hearts, kindness (Php. 2:1), humility & meekness (Mt. 11:29), and patience (Heb. 12:1-2) (v.12), adding above all these, put on (aorist) love (v.14) => the love of Christ (Eph. 3:18-19).
which result in bearing (present, continuing act) with one another and forgiving (present) each other (v.13)
And let the peace of Christ rule (present) in your heart (v.15), and let the word of Christ dwell (present) in you richly (v.16),
and give thanks (present) to God the Father.
The love of Christ, the peace of Christ, the Word of Christ
=> Give thanks to God, love one another!
Jesus, my Lord!
May Thou grant Thy love, peace, and word!
that we may give thanks to God our Father and love one another! Amen.
