During His earthly life, the blessed Savior spent many nights in prayer. In Gethsemane He presented the same petition three times with unshaken, yet submissive persistence. This called on every part of His soul and brought about tears and bloody sweat.
Jesus’ life victories were all won in hours of persistent prayer. He taught, by example, the importance of consistent prayer.
