영과 진리로 예배하는 예배자를 찾으시는 하나님 아버지께서, 우리의 예배를 통해 올려 드리는 모든 감사와 찬양과 영광을 기쁘게 받으실 줄 믿습니다.
We believe that Heavenly Father, who is looking for worshipers who worship with spirit and truth, will gladly receive all the thanks, praise, and glory that we offer through our worship.
지난 주에는, 고전 1:18-31 을 통해서, 세상의 지혜로는 하나님을 알 수 없으며, 십자가의 도, 즉 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 얻는 구원이 하나님의 지혜요 능력임을 배워보았습니다. 이번 주에는 계 1:1-8절 말씀을 통하여, 우리 크리스천의 정체성이 과연 무엇인지 생각해 보는 시간이 되기를 소망합니다.
Last week, through 1 Cor 1:18-31, we learned that the message of the cross, the salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, is the power and wisdom of God, since the wisdom of the world cannot know God. This week, through Rev. 1:1-8, we would like to speculate on who we, Christians are, i.e., what is our identity in Him.
- 오늘 읽은 요한 계시록은 신약 성서중 유일한 묵시록으로 여러가지 비유와 상징들이 많이 등장하여 이해하기기 쉽지 않은 성경인데, 실은 요한 계시록도 일부 난해한 구절들에 대한 정통 해석들을 참조하여 공부하면, 참 복음적이고 소망을 주는 성경책임을 알 수 있습니다.
- The revelation of John the Apostle, as only an Apocalyptic Scripture in New Testament, is well known its difficulty to understand, because of many imageries and symbols. But if we understand the sound interpretation regarding some difficult texts, this is a very evangelical Scripture which gives us tremendous hope among the sufferings of the end era. challenges.
- 요한 계시록은 사도 요한이 밧모섬에 있을 때 썼다고 알려져 있는데, 쓰여진 시기에 대해서는 여러가지 설이 있는데, 로마 대화재 사건후 네로가 기독교인들을 박해한 후인 65~75년경으로 보기도 했으나, 최근 대부분 학자들은 91~96년 경 로마 11대 황제 도미티아누스가 황제 숭배를 강요함으로 소아시아 지역 기독교인들이 크게 환난을 당했을 시절에 쓰여졌다고 보고 있습니다. 요한 계시록의 구성 (Richard Bauckham) 은 머리말 (1:1-8)과 끝말 (22:6-21) 사이에, 1) 일곱교회에 보내는 메시지를 포함한 예수님께서 보좌에 앉으시는 환상 (1:9-3:22), 2) 하늘 보좌에 대한 비전 (4-5) 과 이어지는 일련의 심판 (6-16), 3) 바빌론, 음녀에 대한 심판 (17:1-19:10), 4) 바빌론에서 새 예루살렘으로의 전화 (19:11-21:8), 5) 새 신부인 새 예루살렘 (21:9-22:9) 의 다섯개의 주제로 구성되어 있습니다.
- This revelation was written by John the Apostle at the island of Patmos. In the past, it was said that it was written around AD 65~75 when Nero persecuted the Christians after the Great fire of Rome, but the recent scholars say that it was written around AD 91~96 when the Roman emperor Domitian persecuted the Christians in Asia Minor who did not worship the Roman emperor as God so that the Book is composed of five parts between prologue (a:1-8) and epilogue (22:6-21); the inaugural vision of Christ, including the seven messages to the churches (1:9-3:22); the inaugural vision of heaven (4-5) leading to the sequences of judgement (6-16); Babylon, the harlot (17:1-19:10); the transition from Babylon to the New Jerusalem (19:11-21:8); the New Jerusalem the Bride (21:9-22:9).
- 오늘 본문은 그 중 머리말에 해당하는데, 소아시아에 있는 환난 받고 있는 일곱 교회 (v.7, 완전 수 일곱은 전체 교회를 의미), 하나님의 나라 (왕)과 제사장 삼으신 성도들에게 (v.6), 전에도 계셨고 이제도 계시며 장차 오실 하나님 아버지 (v.4), 죽은 자들 가운데서 다시 사시고 모든 권세를 가지신 예수 그리스도, 하나님의 아들 (v.5), 그리고 보좌 옆 일곱 영이신 성령님 (v.4), 즉 삼위 일체의 하나님께서 은혜와 평강을 베푸시되 (v.5), 가까운 때에 (v.3) 영광으로 다시 오실 예수님 (v.7)을 소망으로 바라보며, 하나님의 예언의 말씀을 읽고, 그 들은 바 대로 지켜 (v.3) 승리할 것을 권면하고 있습니다.
- Today text, as prologue, exhorts seven churches in Asia Minor, the saints whom Jesus has made a kingdom and priests to His God the Father, to endure the persecution of the Roman emperor by keeping the words of prophecy, which they heard through the grace and peace of God, looking at Jesus in hope who will come again with glory.
- 오늘 본문 말씀을 통해서 몇가지 은혜를 나누기 원하는 데, 첫번째로는 비록 우리가 환난 가운데 있을지라도, 우리 하나님께서는 처음과 끝이요, 전능하신 주권자 하나님이셔서 (v.8), 그는 “빛도 짓고 어둠도 창조하며 평안도 짓고 환난도 창조하시는 여호와 모든 일들을 행하시는” 분 (사 45:6) 으로, 반드시 우리로 승리하게 하실 분이심을 기억해야 할 줄로 믿습니다. 두번째로는, 그 주권자 하나님께서 이미 우리를 그의 나라와 제사장으로 삼으셨다는 사실입니다. 우리는 인생에 어려움이 찾아오고 환난을 지날 때면, 우리 자신이 초라하게 느껴질 때가 있습니다. 그러나, 땅의 임금들의 머리가 되신, 하나님 아버지로 부터 모든 권세를 받으신 예수님께서 우리를 또한 나라와 제사장으로 이미 삼으셨기에 그런 왕과 제사장으로서의 우리의 정체성을 늘 기억하고 나갈 때 또한 우리에게 주어진 환난도 넉넉히 이겨나갈 수 있을 줄로 믿습니다. 그리고 마지막으로 앞으로 되어질 궁극적인 일의 결말을 우리에게 늘 되세겨 줄 예언의 말씀을 늘 읽고, 또 우리가 들은 바 하나님의 말씀을 붙들고 또 그 말씀에 순종하는 삶이야 말로 주님께서 이미 이루어 놓으신 승리를 우리 것으로 만드는 길임을 기억하면 좋겠습니다.
- We would like to learn few points through today’s text: Firstly, even though we have to go through the persecutions, we have to remember that our God who is the Alpha and the Omega, the Almighty and the Sovereign LORD who forms light and creates darkness; makes well-being and creates calamity; is the LORD who does all these things (Is 45:6) will make us persevere them to get the ultimate victory. Secondly, we have to remember that our Sovereign God has made us His kingdom and priests already. When we have to go through the calamity, we can feel that we feel shabby and lose heart. But remembering Jesus Christ who is the ruler of kings on earth and received all authority in heaven and on earth has made us His kingdom and priests which is our identity, we may overcome those difficulties sufficiently. And finally when we remind the ultimate end of all things as written in the word of prophesy and try to keep the word which we heard, we may get the final victory which our Lord already earned for us.
- 기도하옵기는, 사랑하는 우리 KPCM 자녀들과 가족들과 교회가, 이 어려운 때에, 주님께서 우리를 그의 나라와 제사장으로 삼으신 우리의 정체성을 기억하고, 우리에게 주신 말씀을 붙들고 지킴으로 주님께서 이미 예비해 놓으신 승리를 반드시 성취할 수 있기를 소망합니다.
- I pray that His beloved KPCM children, families and church may achieve the final victory which our Lord Jesus already achieved, by keeping His word of prophesy with remembering the identity as His kingdom and priests.
Activity questions and thought behind
Q1 When you meet friends of your mom or dad, I wonder if you heard your mom’s or dad’s friend say that “Your daughter (son) looks exactly like you!” I wonder why we resemble our parent? What’s your thoughts? Would you share your thoughts or idea with your friends? 여러분들이 구역모임이나 엄마 아빠의 친구분들이 함께 하는 모임에 나갔을 때, “와 네 아들 (딸)이 너를 꼭 닮았네~~” 라고 말씀하시는 것을 들어 보셨나요? 왜 우리들은 엄마 아빠를 닮을 수 밖에 없을 까요? 여러분들의 생각을 친구들에게 나누어 주시면 좋겠어요.
(이 질문을 통하여, 우리들 모두는 엄마 아빠에게로 부터 DNA 를 물려 받았기에, 우리 얼굴도 엄마나 아빠를 닮게 되는 것 같아요. 알고 보면 엄마 아빠의 형상이 우리에게 DNA 를 통해서 전해 지기 때문입니다. 그와 마찬가지로 우리도 하나님께서 우리가 어떤 사람들이 될 것이라고 이미 말씀해 주셨다는 사실을 다음 질문을 통해서 아이들이 알게 되기를 소망합니다. 다양한 생각과 의견과 감정과 경험을 표현할 때 공감해 주시면서, 때때로 생각의 이유도 물어 보시면서 아이들과 적극적 경청과 공감의 대화를 나누실 수 있으시기를 소망합니다.)
(Through this question, I hope our children can know that children who receive the DNA from their parent will resemble their parent. It seems that through DNA, the image and the likeness of our parent will be transferred to us. As such we would like for our children to know that God already said who we are, through the next question. When your children express diverse thoughts, opinions, emotions, or experiences, I hope you may empathize with them to enjoy the conversation of empathy through active listening, sometimes asking their thoughts behind.)
Q2 God who created the light by saying “Let there be light!”, has made us His kingdom and priests and also prophets. I wonder if you know that God has made you the king who reigns and serves His kingdom, the priest who cleans and lifts up His creations, or the priest who teaches God’s word and God’s will? I wonder in what office – king, priest or prophet, are you called? Why do you think so? What do you want to do? Could you share your thoughts with your friends? “빛이 있으라”는 말씀으로 빛을 창조하신 하나님께서 우리를 그의 나라와 제사장으로 삼으셨다고 말씀하셨습니다. 여러분, 여러분의 Identity 가 하나님의 나라를 다스리고 섬기는 왕이요 하나님 나라를 깨끗하게 지키고 또 그분의 창조세계를 하나님께 올려드리는 제사장이요 또 하나님의 뜻을 전하고 깨닫게 해 주는 선지자임을 아시나요? 여러분들이 생각하기에는 여러분들이 어떤 사람으로 부르심을 받은 것 같나요? 왕? 제사장? 선지자? 왜 그렇게 생각하시나요? 그리고 무슨 일을 하실 것인가요? 여러분들이 가진 생각을 친구들에게 나누어 주셨으면 좋겠어요.

Q3 While we are going through the second week of the Lent season, 2021, I hope that while meditating on who we are before God to confirm their identity as king, priest or prophet, they find their calling in Jesus during this week. 오늘은 2021년 사순절 두번째 주일인데, 한 주간 동안 예수님 안에서 우리의 정체성, 왕, 제사장, 선지자, 을 확인하고, 또 앞으로 어떻게 살아갈지 묵상해 보는 복된 한 주간 되시기를 소망합니다.
