영과 진리로 예배하는 예배자를 찾으시는 하나님 아버지께서, 우리의 예배를 통해 올려 드리는 모든 감사와 찬양과 영광을 기쁘게 받으실 줄 믿습니다.
We believe that Heavenly Father, who is looking for worshipers who worship with spirit and truth, will gladly receive all the thanks, praise, and glory that we offer through our worship.
지난 주에는, 에베소서 4:17-24 말씀을 통하여, 하나님의 전적인 은혜로 구원을 받은 우리는 그 감사의 표현으로 진정한 회심을 하는데, 그것은 옛사람이 죽는 것이요 새사람으로 사는 삶이라고 배웠습니다. 이번 주에는 마태복음 10:34-39 말씀을 통하여, 또한 그 삶은 하나님의 뜻을 쫓아 사는 것인데, 그 하나님의 뜻은 십계명에 잘 요약되어 있으며, 이번 주에는 첫계명 “너는 나 외에는 다른 신들을 네게 두지 말라”는 말씀에 대해서 배워 보기를 소망합니다.
Last week, through Eph 4:17-24, we learned that the life of gratitude in response to the salvation of sheer grace results into the authentic repentance of the dying away of old self and to rising-up of new self. This week, through Mt 10:34-39, the life of gratitude results in the life in His pleasing will as it is well instructed in the ten commandments. Among them, this week, we will learn about the first commandment “You shall have no other gods before me.”
- 지난 시간까지 우리는 하나님의 전적인 구원의 은혜에 감사의 삶으로 보답하게 되며 그 삶은 옛사람이 죽고 새사람으로 사는 참된 회심의 삶으로, 결국 새사람으로 산다는 것은 기쁜 마음으로 하나님의 뜻대로 사는 삶이라고 배웠는데, 하나님의 뜻은 성경에 계시되 어 있는데 그것이 바로 십계명을 위시한 구약의 613개의 법입니다. 이 하나님의 법은 거룩하고 의로우며 선할 뿐 만 아니라 (롬 7:12) 완전하여 우리의 영혼을 소성시키며 (시19:7) 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 거룩하게 하는 (요17:17) 것입니다..십계명은 두 돌판으로 되어 있는데 하나님을 사랑하는 것 즉 하나님을 예배하는 것에 관계되는 제1-4계명이 새겨진 돌판과 “네 이웃을 사랑하라” 즉 사람들과 관계되는 의무를 다루는 제5-10계명이 새겨진 돌판으로 구성되어 있으며, 출20:2 “나는 너를 애굽 땅, 종 되었던 집에서 인도하여 낸 네 하나님 여호와니라”는 십계명 서문에서 볼 수 있듯이 애굽에서 종노릇하던 이스라엘 백성을 구속하여 시내산으로 인도하신 후 가나안 입성전 1년 동안 머물게 하시면서, 하나님의 백성으로써 하나님 앞에서 어떻게 살아야 할지를 알려 주신 것이 바로 율법으로 구약에는 총 613개의 율법이 있으며, 그것들을 요약한 것을 십계명이라고 합니다.
- Until last week, we learned that the life of gratitude in response to the salvation of sheer grace by God which is the dying-away of old self and the rising-up of new life leads us to the life in His pleasing will as it is revealed in the Bible, especially as summarized in the ten commandments from the 613 laws in the Old Testament. This law of God is holy and good and righteous (Rom 7:12) and perfect to revive the soul (Ps 19:7) and is the Word of truth to sanctify us (John 17:17). The ten commandments is written in the two stone tablets where the first tablet contains the 1st through the 4th commandments which regards how to love/worship God and the second tablet contains the 5th through the 10th commandments which explains how to love/live with people. As we can see Ex 20:2 as the preface of the ten commandments “I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery,” these commandments is the law to teach how to live before God (CORAM DEO), after God redeemed the Israelites from the slavery of Egypt, which is total 613, summarized in the ten commandments.
- 칼빈은 그의 책 기독교 강요에서 십계명을 제대로 이해하기 위해서는 각계명을 주신 이유와 명령(~하라)과 금지(~하지말라) 계명들의 뜻을 이해할 필요가 있다고 이야기 했습니다. (기독교강요, II.8.8-9) 앞으로 몇주동안에 걸쳐, 각 계명에 대해 함께 묵상하며 배워보기를 원하는데, 오늘 함께 배우실 첫계명 “너는 나 외에는 다른 신들을 네게 두지 말라”는 계명은 오직 하나님 만이 경배를 받으실 분이심으로 하나님의 신성을 경배하는 것은 하나님이 기뻐하시는 것이자 동시에 우리의 의무(칼빈 Inst,, II.8.8)”이며, 우리는 마땅히 하나님께 앙모 (하나님께 대한 존경과 예배)와 신뢰 (하나님을 안연히 의지함)와 기원(도우심을 구함)과 감사를 드려야 한다고 말했습니다. (칼빈, Inst, II.8.16)
- Calvin said that in order to understand the ten commandments we need to know the reason why the LORD gave each commandment and understand the deeper meaning of the commandment (Do~) and the prohibition (Don’t~) (Inst, II.8.8-9). We will learn about the ten commandments in few weeks, but today we will learn about the first commandment “You shall have no other gods before me” which commands us to worship God since He deserves to worship as He is only God and pleases to receive the praise (Inst, II.8.8) so that we have to give 1) adoration (respect and worship), 2) trust, 3) prayer (asking for help), 4) thanksgiving (Inst, II.8.16).
- 첫계명이 당연 하나님 한분만이 참신이시자 유일하신 신이시기에 당연히 하나님 이외의 다른 잡신들을 두지 말아야 할 뿐 만 아니라, 오늘 본문을 보면, 또한 우리 삶에 있어서 하나님 보다 우선순위를 높게 놓아서는 안되는 것들이 또 있다고 말씀하십니다. 그것은 바로 부모와 처자와 형제 자매 즉 사랑하는 가족들과 심지어 자기의 목숨조차도 하나님보다 우선 순위에 놓아서는 안된다고 말씀하고 있습니다. 그리고 주님께서는 그렇게 하나님을 제일 앞에 놓는 길은 필연적으로 자기 십자가를 지는 것이라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 이것은 영적인 전쟁의 방법에 대한 것인데, 크리스천은 가정에서나 사회에서 복음 때문에 충돌이 생길 때 대적하는 자들을 세상적인 방법으로 대항하지 아니하고 오히려 손해를 보는 자세, 즉 오히려 핍박을 당하면서 진리의 복음을 끝까지 파수하여야 합니다. 그래서 박윤선 목사님은 “기독교에는 내가 핍박받는 신조는 있으나 내가 남을 핍박하는 신조는 없다. 진리 파수는 그 진리를 믿는 나 자신이 핍박 받으므로 더욱 승리하게 된다 (마태복음 주석)”고 말하였고, 도날드 구써리는 “제자가 된 사람들이 주장할 수 있는 유일한 특권은 (십자가를 지는 것과 같은) 봉사와 희생의 특권이다”고 말했던 것입니다.
- According to today’s text, it is said that there are others which we should not have before God, in addition to other gods since our God is only and one true God as the first commandment requires, i.e., loving families – parents, spouse, children, and siblings and even our life. And also our Lord requests to take our own cross in addition to putting God first as the way of spiritual war, in other words, Christians should keep the gospel of truth by taking persecution rather than fighting in the worldly way against the persecutors when we live in the gospel as Pastor YS Park said that in Christianity there is the faith to be persecuted, yet no faith to persecute others so that the truth can be kept by my persecution. And also Donald Guthrie said that “The only privilege that could be claimed by any of the disciples was the privilege of service and sacrifice (such as taking up a cross). - 오늘 본문 말씀을 통해서 몇가지 은혜를 나누기 원하는 데, 첫번째, 우리 하나님 여호와께서는 유일하시고 참되신 한분 하나님이시며, 또한 그의 독생하신 아들을 십자가에 못박히게 하심으로 우리를 죄의 속박에서 구속해 주신 분으로 창조주요 섭리주요 구속주요 심판주되신 하나님 아버지께 모든 존경과 경배와 감사를 올려 드리며, 온전히 그분만을 의지해야 할 줄로 믿습니다. 그것이 바로 십계명의 첫째되는 계명인 것입니다. 따라서, 두번째로 그 어떤 것도 하나님 보다 높아지게 해서는 안될 줄로 믿습니다. 즉, 가짜 신들(출 20:3)과 세상(약 4:4)과 재물(눅16:13), 아버지와 어머니, 처자와 형제 자매(마10:37)와 심지어 자기 자신(마10:39)마저도 하나님보다 사랑하지 않아야 합니다. 그리고 마지막으로 첫번째 계명은 하나님을 최우선에 두어야 할 뿐 만 아니라 하나님께서 악을 이기신 방법 즉 십자가의 길을 따를 것을 요구하십니다. 그래서 우리 주님께서도 거짓의 아비 사탄의 폭거에 대항하셔서, 어린 양이 되셔서 십자가에 못 박히심으로 사탄과 악의 방법을 이기시고 우리를 구원하시고 하나님 나라를 세우신 것입니다.
- Through today’s Bible verses, we would like to learn few things. Firstly, our God the LORD is only and true God and sent His only Son to be crucified for vicarious atonement of our sin as Creator, Providential Carer and Judge so that we have to lift up our respect, praise, thanks and worship to Him alone and rely on Him absolutely. This is the meaning of the first commandment. Therefore secondly we should not put anything before Him; not only other gods (Ex 20:3), world (James 4:4) and money (Luke 16:13), but also families – parents, spouse, children and siblings (Mt 10:37) and even our selves (Mt 10:39). And finally the first commandment request not only to put Him first, but also to follow the way of the cross as the way to defeat the evil since our Lord, against the violence of Satan, father of false, crucified in the cross as a lamb of atonement and defeated Satan and its violent way for our salvation and His kingdom.
- 기도하옵기는, 사랑하는 우리 KPCM 자녀들과 가족들과 교회에, 성령강림후 여섯번째 주일을 맞아 첫계명에 명령하시는데로, 하나님께서는 유일하신 신이신 바, 어떤 것보다 최우선에 두고 순종함으로 하나님의 은혜를 누릴 수 있게 되시기를 기도합니다.
- I pray that His beloved KPCM children, families and church may enjoy the grace of God by obeying to God as the first commandment requests to put Him first, since He is only and true God in the sixth week after the Pentecost.

Q1 I am wondering if you have a best friend? I am sure you have best friends at church and at school. But if your best friend give priority to other friend than you, I wonder how you feel? Would you share your thoughts or emotions with your friends? 여러분 혹시 Best Friend 가 있으신가요? 착한 여러분들은 교회에도 또 학교에도 Best Friend 가 있을 줄 믿어요. 그런데 만약 Best Friend 가 여러분들보다 다른 친구들에게 우선권을 준다면 여러분들의 마음은 어떨것 같으신가요? 여러분들의 마음과 생각을 친구들에게 나누어 주시면 좋겠어요.
(이 질문을 통하여, 우리 아이들이 좋아하는 베프가 다른 친구들을 더 중요하게 생각하고 우선순위에 놓으면 마음이 상할 수 있는 것을 생각해 보기를 원합니다. 다양한 생각과 의견과 감정과 경험을 표현할 때 공감해 주시면서, 때때로 생각의 이유도 물어 보시면서 아이들과 적극적 경청과 공감의 대화를 나누실 수 있으시기를 소망합니다.)

When your children express diverse thoughts, opinions, emotions, or experiences, I hope you may empathize with them to enjoy the conversation of empathy through active listening, sometimes asking their thoughts behind.)
Q2 According to today’s Bible verses, it is said that we were reconciled with God and have peace with others through being transformed into new humanity in Christ. I wonder how it looks like in our daily life at church or in the community, the life of ministry of reconciliation?
