영과 진리로 예배하는 예배자를 찾으시는 하나님 아버지께서, 우리의 예배를 통해 올려 드리는 모든 감사와 찬양과 영광을 기쁘게 받으실 줄 믿습니다.
We believe that Heavenly Father, who is looking for worshipers who worship with spirit and truth, will gladly receive all the thanks, praise, and glory that we offer through our worship.
지난 주에는, 레위기 24:10-16 말씀을 통하여 제3계명 “너는 네 하나님 여호와의 이름을 망령되게 부르지 말라 여호와는 그의 이름을 망령되게 부르는 자를 죄 없다 하지 아니하리라 (출20:7)”는 말씀에 대해서 배워보면서, 예배나 일상 생활에서 하나님의 이름을 엄숙하고 존귀하게 사용하여야 함을 알았습니다. 이번 주에는 이사야 58장 13-14절 말씀을 통하여, “안식일을 기억하여 거룩하게 지키라”는 제4계명에 대해서 공부해 보고 함께 은혜 나누기를 소망합니다.
Last week, through Lev 24:10-16 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name (Ex 20:7)”, we learned that we have to use the name of God solemnly and honorably in our daily life and worship. This week, through Is 58:13-14, we would like to learn about the fourth commandment “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.”
- 이번 주 함께 배우실 십계명은 제4계명 “안식일을 기억하여 거룩하게 지켜라 (출 20:8)” 입니다. 그 이유를 출애굽기 20장11절에서는 하나님께서 6일동안 세상 만물을 창조하시고 일곱째 날에 쉬셨기 때문이라고 하셨고 신명기 5장15절에서는 종되었던 애굽 땅에서 구속하여 내신 여호와를 기억하며 안식하라고 하셨습니다.
- The commandment which we will learn this week is the fourth commandment “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy (Ex 20:8).” The reason why we have to keep it is described in Ex 20:11 for God the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them, in six days but he rested on the seventh day, and in Deut 5:15 for “you were saved in Egypt and that the LORD your God brought you our of there with a mighty hand and an outstanding arm.”
- 칼빈은 제4계명을 주신 의도는 “우리 자신의 성향과 행위에 대해서 죽은 상태로, 하나님 나라에 대하여 묵상하여야 하며, 또한 하나님께서 세우신 방식으로 그 묵상을 실천해야 한다는 것”이라고 하며, 제4계명은 다음 세가지를 꼭 지키도록 요구한다고 했습니다: 첫째, “하늘의 율법 제정자께서는 일곱째 날에 안식하라고 하심으로써 이스라엘 백성에게 영적인 안식을 제시”하셨는데 “신자들은 그렇게 영적으로 안식하는 가운데 자기들의 일을 다 제쳐두고 하나님께서 그들 속에서 일하시도록 해야” 하며, 둘째로 “하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들을 위하여 한 날을 정하여 그들로 하여금 모여서 율법을 듣고 의례들을 행하게 하여 – 혹은 최소한 하나님의 역사하심을 묵상하는 일에 구체적으로 바쳐서 – 그로 말미암아 경건의 훈련을 받도록 하”셨으며, 셋째로 “하나님은 종들과 또한 다른 사람들의 권세 아래 있는 자들에게 휴식의 날을 주심으로써 그들이 힘든 수고에서 벗어나 어느 정도 쉴 수 있도록 해 주라”고 하셨습니다. - Calvin says that the purpose of this commandment is that, “being dead to our own inclinations and works, we should meditate on the Kingdom of God, and that we should practice that meditation in the ways established by him.”[1] And this commandment requests us to keep the following three things; First, “under the repose of the seventh day the heavenly Lawgiver meant to represent to the people of Israel spiritual rest, in which believers ought to lay aside their own works to allow God to work in them.”[2] Secondly, “he meant that there was to be a stated day for them to assemble to hear the law and perform the rites, or at least to devote it particularly to meditation upon his works, and thus through this remembrance to be trained in piety. Thirdly, he resolved to give a day of rest to servants and those who are under the authority of others, in order that they should have some respite from toil.”[3]
- 특히 오늘 본문인 이사야 58:13-14에 의하면, 안식일에는 나의 뜻과 나의 길과 나의 사사로운 말들을 내려 놓고 여호와의 성일을 즐겁고 존귀한 날로 여겨 오직 하나님의 뜻과 길을 구하며 하나님의 말씀으로 채우라고 하시며, 그렇게 하면 여호와 하나님께서는 우리로 그 안에서 즐거움을 얻게 하시고 우리를 영화롭 하시며, 조상들에게 약속하신 축복들을 누리게 하실 것이라고 말씀하십니다.
- In particular, according to today’s text, Is 58:13-14, in the Sabbath day, we have to put off our desire, our way and our words, instead after calling the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the LORD honorable, we have to ask for the will and the way of God the LORD and be filled with the Word of God, then God said that He makes us take delight in the LORD and makes us ride on the heights of the earth and feed us with the heritage of Jacob.
- 오늘 본문 말씀을 통해서 몇가지 은혜를 나누기 원하는 데, 첫번째 출 20:11 과 신 5:15 말씀에 의하면, 안식일은 일을 하지 않으며 쉼을 얻는 중에 무엇보다도 하나님의 창조(출20:11)와 구속(신 5:15)을 기억하며, 하나님께 감사를 올려 드리는 날이어야 합니다. 하나님의 창조와 구속과 섭리 안에 있는 하나님의 경륜과 은혜를 기억하며, 안식일을 특히 구별하여 하나님을 예배하여야 할 줄로 믿습니다. 둘째 그래서 주님께서는 “인자는 안식일의 주인 (마 12:8)”이라고 말씀하셨던 것인데, 안식일에는 일을 하지 않으면서 온전히 하나님께 촛점을 맞추고 하나님의 기뻐하시는 뜻이 무엇인지 묵상하며 하나님의 길을 쫓아 살기로 다짐하며 거룩한 하나님의 진리의 말씀으로 우리의 영혼을 가득 채우는 날로 지켜야 하는 것입니다. 그러므로 셋째로 오늘 본문 이사야 58:13-14 말씀에서는, 안식일에는 우리의 것들 즉 우리의 뜻과 길과 사사로운 말들을 내려놓고, 여호와의 성일을 즐겁고 존귀한 날로 여겨 오직 하나님의 뜻과 길을 생각하며 하나님의 말씀으로 채움으로 여호와 하나님 안에서 즐거움 혹은 새 힘 (히브리어 ”עָנַג” ‘아나그’는 to take one’s pleasure in 즐거움을 얻다라는 뜻도 있지만 to refresh oneself 새 힘을 얻다라는 뜻도 있음) 얻고 명예를 얻게 되며, 믿음의 조상들에게 약속하신 축복들을 누리게 된다로 말씀하셨던 것입니다. 왜냐하면 진정한 안식은 하나님으로부터 말미암기 때문입니다.
- Through today’s Bible verses, we would like to learn few things; First, according to Ex 20:11 and Deut 5:15, while we will have a rest not working in the Sabbath day, first of all we have to remember the creation (Ex 20:11) and redemption (Deut 5:15) of God so that we have to give thanksgiving to God by remembering the plan and grace of God in His creation, redemption and Providential care and worship Him in the consecrated Sabbath day. Secondly therefore, Jesus our Lord said “the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath (Mt 12:8).” In the Sabbath day, focusing on God our LORD fulling, not working, we have to meditate on the will of God and pledge to live the way of the LORD and fill our soul with holy and true word of God. Then, thirdly, Is 58:13-14 said that we will be rejoiced and refreshed (the Hebrew ”עָנַג” ‘anag’ means to take one’s pleasure in or to refresh oneself) by God the LORD and be glorified and enjoy the blessings which our ancestors were promised, by calling the Sabbath a delight and the holy day of the LORD honorable and reminding the will and the way of God and filling with the word of God, putting off the will and way and word of ours, since true and ultimate rest comes from God.
- 기도하옵기는, 사랑하는 우리 KPCM 자녀들과 가족들과 교회가, 성령강림후 아홉번째 주일을 맞아, 즐겁고 존귀한 여호와의 성일, 안식일(주일)을 거룩하게 구별하여 지키되 하나님의 창조와 구속과 섭리를 기억하며, 하나님의 뜻과 길로 행하며, 하나님의 말씀으로 채움으로 하나님께서 주시는 즐거움과 새힘을 얻고 영화롭게 되며 예비하신 축복을 받아 누리시기를 기도합니다.
- I pray that His beloved KPCM children, families and church may enjoy His blessings, receiving the joy and refreshment of God and being glorified, by observing His Sabbath to consecrate it as the delight and holy day of the LORD and remembering His creation and redemption and providential care in the nineth week after the Pentecost.
Activity questions and thought behind
Q1 Did you hear about “travel fatigue”? We typically go to journey for the retreat from daily fatigue and frustration, but I am wondering why we are suffering with “travel fatigue”? Probably because we seem to overwork our body in shopping or sightseeing or adventures without enough rest. If you have similar experience, would you share your experiences with your friends? 여러분들 혹시 “여행피로”라는 말을 들어보신 적이 있으신가요? 우리가 보통 여행을 가는 것은 일상 생활에서의 피로와 답답함을 풀고 쉼을 얻고자 가는데, 왜 이런 여행피로가 생기는 것일까요? 그 이유는 여행 동안 충분한 휴식과 쉬는 시간을 가지는 않은 채, 쇼핑이나 구경과 탐험 등으로 너무 무리하게 몸을 혹사하기 때문인 것 같습니다. 혹 여러분들도 그런 경험이 있다면 친구들과 같이 나누어 주면 좋겠습니다.
(이 질문을 통하여, 우리 아이들이 휴식은 단순히 일이나 공부에서 떠나 무리한 오락이나 다른 일들로 채우는 것이 아니라, 그 시간에 몸과 마음이 다른 일상적인 것들로 부터 벗어나 쉼을 얻을 수 있도록 해주어야 한다는 것을 깨닫게 하기 원합니다. 다양한 생각과 의견과 감정과 경험을 표현할 때 공감해 주시면서, 때때로 생각의 이유도 물어 보시면서 아이들과 적극적 경청과 공감의 대화를 나누실 수 있으시기를 소망합니다.)
(Through this question, I hope our children may recognize that true rest is not to fill with unreasonable entertainment or other things after leaving from study or work, rather to give rest to body and soul escaping from daily affairs. When your children express diverse thoughts, opinions, emotions, or experiences, I hope you may empathize with them to enjoy the conversation of empathy through active listening, csometimes asking their thoughts behind.)
Q2 As we think about true rest through the Q1, God said that in the Sabbath day, i.e., in the Lord’s day, we may spend it by meditating on the will, way or word of God, not filling with our thought, word, or something we want, because authentic rest comes from God. If you experienced the rest or refreshment while learning and meditating the word of God, would you share it with your friends? Q1 질문에서 우리가 생각해 보았던 것처럼, 하나님께서는 안식일 즉 주일에는 우리의 생각이나 말이나 원하는 것들로 채우지 말고 하나님의 말씀이나 하나님의 기뻐하시는 뜻과 하나님의 길을 묵상하면서 보내기를 원하셨는데, 그것은 진정한 쉼과 안식은 하나님께로부터 나오기 때문이랍니다. 혹시 여러분들도 주일날 하나님의 말씀을 배우고 하나님을 묵상하는 과정에서 큰 위로를 받고 새힘을 얻으신 경험이 있으시면 친구들과 나누어 주시면 좋겠어요
