Unquestionably, obedience is a high virtue, the quality of a soldier. A soldier has to be obedient. This obedience must be without questioning or complaining. Obedience is faith in action. It is the outflow, the very test of love.
The gift of the Holy Spirit in full measure and in richer experience depends on loving obedience. Obedience to God is a condition of spiritual abundance, inward satisfaction and stability of heart.
Obedience opens the gates of the Holy City and gives access to the Tree of Life.
