영과 진리로 예배하는 예배자를 찾으시는 하나님 아버지께서, 우리의 예배를 통해 올려 드리는 모든 감사와 찬양과 영광을 기쁘게 받으실 줄 믿습니다.
We believe that Heavenly Father, who is looking for worshipers who worship with spirit and truth, will gladly receive all the thanks, praise, and glory that we offer through our worship.
지난 주에는, 마태 18:15-20 말씀을 통하여, 천국의 열쇠들에 대해서 알아보고, 교회가 가진 권위를 통하여 교회의 거룩함을 지켜나가는 우리가 될 것을 다짐해 보았습니다. 이번 주에는 누가 19:1-10 말씀을 통하여, 은혜로 받은 구원에 대하여 감사하는 삶에 대하여 알아보고 함께 은혜 나누기를 소망합니다.
Last week, through Matthew 18:15-20, we decided to live the holy life and keep the church holy through its authority, the keys of the kingdom of heaven. This week, through Luke 19:1-10, we would like to learn about the life of gratitude in response to His salvation by grace alone.
- 오늘 누가복음 19장 1-10절에 나오는 이야기는 세리장 삭개오의 회심 이야기입니다. 예수님께서 여리고를 지나신다는 소식을 들었지만 키가 작아 사람들 사이에서 예수님을 만날 수도 볼 수도 없었던 삭개오는 예수님을 보고 싶은 마음에 돌무화과나무 위에 까지 올라갔고, 나무 위에 올라가 있는 삭개오를 보시고 예수님께서는 사람들의 수군거림을 무릎쓰고 삭개오에게 뜻 밖의 제안을 하십니다. “삭개오야 속히 내려오너라. 내가 오늘 네 집에 유하여야 하겠다.” 그러자 사람들에게 민족의 반역자요 죄인이라고 업신 여김을 받던 삭개오는 예수님께서 아는 체 해 주시고 또 그의 집에 까지 들어오셔서 묵으시겠다는 말씀을 듣고 너무 기쁘고 감사한 마음으로 예수님을 자기 집으로 영접하여 들였고 삶을 돌이키겠다는 표시로 재산의 반을 팔아 가난한 자들에게 나누어 주고 혹 그가 속여 뺏은 것이 있다면 구약의 법에 따라 4배를 되 갚아주겠다고 말합니다. 그러자 예수님께서는 잃어버린 자를 찾으러 오셨다고 하시면, 삭개오가 구원 받았음을 확인해 주십니다.
- Today’s parable in Luke 19:1-10 is the conversion story of Zacchaeus, a rich chief tax collector. Zacchaeus who heard that Jesus will pass through his village and wanted to see Him, climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, since he was small in stature. When Jesus saw him, Jesus came to him, saying, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today”, even though He knew that people all grumbled. Then Zacchaeus who had been despised as a traitor and sinner, was so joyful with gratitude when Jesus accepted him and wanted to stay at his house, welcome Jesus into his house, saying, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount,” as the proof of his transformation as the rule of Old Testament. Then Jesus confirmed His salvation, while reminding “He came to seek the lost”.
- 오늘 누가복음 19장에 나오는 삭개오의 회심 이야기는 18장 18-30절에 나오는 예수님의 제자로의 초대에 응하지 못하고 결국 떠나버린 부자 관원 이야기와 대조를 이루면서, 눅 18:9-14절에 나오는 자기를 의롭다고 믿고 다른 사람을 멸시하는 바리새인과 자기가 하나님 앞에 죄인임을 인정하고 겸손하게 자기를 낮추는 세리의 대비를 잘 드러내고 있는데, 눅 17:11-19 깨끗함을 받은 열명의 나병환자 이야기에서는 고침받은 사람들 중 한사람만이 예수님께 돌아와 입술로 감사를 표현했다면, 오늘 본문에서는 주님의 호의와 사랑에 대하여, 삶의 변화로 감사를 표현한 세리장 삭개오에 대한 이야기입니다.
- The conversion story of Zacchaeus in Luke 19 expresses the comparison between the story of the Pharisee who believed he is more righteous than others so that he undervalue others and the tax collector who is humble before God by recognizing he is sinner in Luke 18:9-14, contrasting to the rich ruler in Luke 18:18-30 who left Jesus not responding to Jesus’ invitation. The story of Zacchaeus shows us the life of gratitude in response to the grace and the love of Jesus, while one among ten who were healed from the leprosy shows the gratitude through lips in Luke 17:11-19.
- 저희 개혁주의에서는, 전적 부패와 전적 무능에 휩싸여 있는 인간은 허물과 죄로 죽은 존재로 (엡 2:1), 구원의 처음부터 끝까지 하나님의 주권적 역사로, 하나님께서는 창세전에 택하시고 예정하신 택자들을 그리스도의 사랑 안에서 성령을 통하여, 살리시고, 일으키시고 하늘에 앉히시는데, 믿음조차도 하나님의 전적인 선물임을 고백합니다. 따라서, 오늘 본문에서도 보시는 것처럼, 삭개오가 비록 예수님을 보기 위해 나무 위에 까지 올라갔지만 그것은 유명한 인물에 대한 관심 정도인 것으로 보이며, 이렇다 할 만한 구원에 대한 열망이나 믿음을 보여 주지는 못하였습니다. 그러나 예수님께서는 10절 “인자가 온 것은 잃어버린 자를 찾아 구원하려 함이니라”는 말씀처럼, 아브라함의 잃어버린 자손 삭개오에게 찾아 오셔서, 삭개오를 용납해 주시고 교제하시기를 원하신다는 뜻으로 삭개오에게 오늘 그의 집에 유하여야 하겠다는 말씀을 하셨습니다. 이러한 예수님의 호의와 사랑에 삭개오는 급히 내려와 기쁨으로 영접하면서, 예수님을 그의 집으로 모셔드린 후, 그의 회심의 표현으로 소유의 절반을 가난한 사람과 나누며, 혹 누구의 것을 뺏은 것이 있으면, 네배로 갚겠다는 변화된 삶으로 감사의 표현을 하고 있는 것입니다.
- Our Reformed churches confess that whole salvation from beginning to the end comes from God’s grace as His gifts even including the faith in Jesus by making us alive, raising us and seated us with Him in the heaven in His sovereign work, since human beings are dead in transgressions and sins (Eph 2:1). Therefore, we can see clearly Jesus’ initiative toward Zacchaeus’s conversion by approaching and asking him to stay in his house, even though Zacchaeus climbed up to the tree to see a famous man. In response to His favor and love, Zacchaeus welcome Him with joy into his house and express his thankfulness by announcing that he will share half of his possessions with the poor and promise to repay four times if he had cheated anyone out of anything as his proof of conversion
- 오늘 본문 말씀을 통해서 몇가지 은혜를 나누기 원하는 데, 첫번째 오늘 본문에서 보는 것처럼, 구원은 하나님의 전적인 선물입니다. 비록 인간이 중생에 믿음과 회심으로 반응하고, 의롭다 칭함을 받은 후 성화의 삶에 초대를 하시지만, 궁극적으로 구원은 하나님의 선물임을 우리가 알아야 합니다. 그래서 엡 2:8 에서는 믿음도 구원도 은혜도 하나님의 자비하심과 사랑에 근거한 하나님의 선물임을 분명히 밝히고 있으며, 히 12:2 에서도 예수님께서 믿음의 창시자요 완성자라고 고백하고 있는 것이랍니다. 그렇게 구원이 하나님의 전적인 선물이기에 두번째로 하나님의 은혜를 받은 인간은 입술로 감사를 드리며 또한 삶으로 그 감사를 드러내게 됩니다. 삶의 변화 없이 단순히 입술로 하는 믿음의 고백은 하나님의 전적인 구원의 역사에 대한 반응일 수가 없는 것입니다. 그러므로 우리는 마지막으로 고후 13:5 “너희는 믿음에 있는가 너희 자신을 시험하고 너희 자신을 확증하라 예수 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계신 줄을 너희가 스스로 알지 못하느냐 그렇지 않으면 너희는 버림 받은 자니라”는 통렬한 바울의 질책을 가슴깊이 세기고 늘 겸손한 마음을 품고, 한걸음 한걸음 십자가 앞으로 나아가야 할 줄로 믿습니다. 십자가가 없는 복음은 복음이 아닙니다.
- Through today’s Bible verses, we would like to learn few things; firstly as we can see in today’s text, salvation is sheer gift of God’s grace. Even though human beings respond with faith and repentance to regeneration by the Holy Spirit and are invited into the sanctification after the justification, we have to know ultimately the salvation is the mere grace of God. Therefore Eph 2:8 clearly says that our faith, salvation, and even His grace is the gift of God and Heb 12:2 says that Jesus is the initiator and completer of our faith. As such, since salvation is the mere gift of God, secondly, human beings who received His sheer grace for salvation, respond naturally with the gratitude in lips and also in deeds. The mere verbal thanksgiving without behavioral conversion is not the proper response to the sheer grace of God for salvation. Therefore we have to examine and test ourselves to see whether we are in the faith, by recognizing that Christ esus is in us as 2 Cor 13:5 says so that we have to be always humble and approach near to the cross every day. The gospel without the cross is not the true gospel.
- 기도하옵기는, 사랑하는 우리 KPCM 자녀들과 가족들과 교회에, 하나님의 전적인 은혜를 깨닫고 입술과 삶으로 드리는 감사가 넘쳐 나기를 기도합니다.
- I pray that His beloved KPCM children, families and church may be filled with the gratitude in lips and in deeds in their lives, after recognizing His salvific grace.

Would you share your experiences or thoughts or idea with your friends? 여러분들은 학교나 교회에서 어려움에 처해 있을 때 선생님이나 친구가 와서 도와주면 너무 고맙잖아요! 그러면 여러분은 그 고마움에 어떻게 보답을 하시나요? 여러분들의 경험과 생각을 친구들에게 나누어 주시면 좋겠어요.
(이 질문을 통하여, 우리 아이들이 살아가면서 어려움에 빠진 친구들을 도와 주기도 하고 혹은 어려울 때 도움을 받고 살기도 하면서, 특히 도움을 받았을 때는 꼭 보답을 하고 사는 것을 생각해 보면서 어떻게 은인에게 보답을 하는지 여러가지 경험과 생각들을 서로 나눌 수 있으면 좋겠습니다. 다양한 생각과 의견과 감정과 경험을 표현할 때 공감해 주시면서, 때때로 생각의 이유도 물어 보시면서 아이들과 적극적 경청과 공감의 대화를 나누실 수 있으시기를 소망합니다.)

Q2 Yet we know that when we were still sinners, God sent His only son, Jesus Christ to crucify Him for the vicarious atonement for us. Then I wonder how you may express your gratitude to Jesus? Could you share your thoughts with your friends? 그런데 하나님께서는 우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때 예수님을 이 땅에 보내셔서 십자가에 못박으심으로 우리를 은혜로 구원해 주셨는데, 이 은혜를 어떻게 감사하고 보답하면 좋겠는지요? 여러분들의 생각을 친구들에게 나누어 주시면 좋겠어요
